Feb 2011 ~ Triumph or Splendor

Looking at a Feb 2011 Carnival Cruise ~ considering the Splendor out of Long Beach to Baja/Mexico area or the Triumph out of New Orleans to Belize, Honduras, etc. Anyone have suggestions of one over the other?? Husband would like to see New Orleans around Mardi Gras time and I would like the weather in California (no humidity but maybe a bit warmer??) Will take all opinions! :D Thank You in advance!

Well I'm partial to New Orleans since I live here! ;)

 

Mardi Gras day is not until March 7, 2011. Parades start about 10 days before then. Something to keep in mind when planning. I've also done a land trip to Cabo - spectacular! More of a night-life kind of place than anything else. New Orleans has a lot of culture and a lot of things to see besides Bourbon Street.

 

Can't speak to the ships yet, sailing Triumph in November and haven't been on Splendor. Good luck with your selection!:)
