kdinkus1 Posted July 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2010 When my husband retires in Oct, we are thinking of doing a back 2 back cruise (different ships, same line) My question: "Does Carnival remove your luggage and transfer them over to the other ship or do we move them ourselves? I'm sure I know the answer to this but my DH wanted me to ask it anyway... Also, will we have to go back thru the lines with everyone else to check-in or are there specific places we must go instead? Sorry if the questions are lame or have already been asked! Thanks...! :D
Rare Essiesmom Posted July 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2010 You will be ending one cruise and beginning a totally separate cruise on a different ship. You will have to claim your luggage, go through customs/immingration, then find a taxi to take you to the next ship. I am not aware of any ports where you can walk to the next ship, although in Port Canaveral, they have a parking valet who will transport you free to the other ship. On the second ship, you will have to go through check-in just like everyone else. In this case, since they won't allow you on the second ship early, it might be good to be among the last off on the first leg. Otherwise, you could be standing around for hours in the terminal. OhioJeff Posted July 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2010 I am not aware of any ports where you can walk to the next ship, Fairly easy in Miami, I did it last fall. If you have mobility issues that could be a problem.
firefly333 Posted July 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2010 Its not technically a B2B if you are changing ships is why its not treated like a B2B.
