Just confirming that CCL approved my Early Savers Price Protection form for the 12/09/2010 sailing from Mobile on the Fantasy (4-day). Soo happy. More $$$ for excursions.

Uh Fantasy doesn't sail from Mobile

Good for you. Keep watching because it may keep dropping. This week I couldn't fill out the form fast enough to keep up with the price drops and we're 21 days out today. Between two cabins I have $380 and am waiting for confirmation on another $60.:D

Confirming with who ???

Is this headline news ???

Many folks have been able to get OBC thanks to booking under the ES program. Not really what I would call earth shattering news !

Congrats I guess are in order ?

confirming with us! bigtoes is just excited :D congrats on your price drop. keep checking!

I was thinking the same thing, I hope everyone doesn't start posting every time they get a price drop. I have had a few in the past couple months but I didn't come on here and tell everyone. I guess I'm not the type of person that always needs attention.

I hope that you learn you don't have to read posts that you don't choose to celebrate someone else's good fortune. You may not "need" attention, but you sure need a happy or considerate pill.

And FYI...you DID just come on here and "tell everyone" about your price drops in this very post. You could have just hushed and moved on. Maybe you need to rethink that attention thing...

Congrats OP. Getting price drops is very exciting when it's you getting them! I know, I've gotten a few myself and they're awesome. Enjoy!

To travelntreats and cpprinttom: This is a first for me. I have read on many a boards of people announcing their price drops. I thought that was the norm and one of the purposes of these cruise boards... In fact, that is how I was able to capture price drops for our past Alaskan cruise when I got the heads up on that board.

At any rate, I appreciate the others on this board who are doing the Happy Dance with me. I was just trying to "help and encourage" others who might not be in the know on watching for price cuts.

I hope everyone has great sailing adventures.

Do the lower prices need to be posted on Carnival's website only? I've been checking recently and no change on mine unless I missed it. Sailing on the Pride 8/22 in OV and sure would be nice to have the OBC. I was also hoping they would upsell me to a balcony if we couldn't get the lower pricing but no call yet. I'll keep checking the site.

we got another price drop on valor for April 24, 2011! I get so excited for these price drops! It made my day after hearing some bad news.

Just wondering from a newbie - is this actual money or OBC?

Depending on how you want to use it, it could be both. If you just leave it on your account, it will be deducted from your S&S balance. Or you can go to the casino, put your S&S card in the slot machine and pull any remaining OBC, then cash out and get your money in hand.

is the price drops only from the carnival website? some of the other websites had lower prices, but i thought maybe we have to go strictly by what the carnival website has? and where do you find the form to fill out? thanks, im kinda new at this type thing.

Ok, I'm new to the Early Savers program. I did apply for and received a $40 OBC for a price drop. So you can get more if it drops further? I know --dumb question, but by the responses it seems you can. What's the best way to find out? I called the PVP a week ago and asked-that's how I found out. I don't want to be calling every day about this, but is there an easier way than calling?

Ok, just checked for our category 8N, extended aft balcony. We booked for $949, got the reduced rate of $929, and now it shows $979? Do these really fluctuate that much and that often? And does that rate stand for all cabins in a certain category regardless of deck level?
