Please help! What is the best tour to take in Nova Scocha?

I am taking the New England cruise on Aug 12 and one of our stops in Nova Scotia. I am looking to take an independent tour from the ship. any recommendations? Thanks!

I'm just going to rent a car and drive to Peggys Cove on our own. We'll have lunch somewhere on the way back and have the car back a couple of hours early. The cost of the car rental is on the order of an excursion for one person if you decline the insurance, and below the cost of excursions for two if you buy the insurance.

You might have some better luck posting this on the Canada board since Nova Scotia is not in New England. There are several threads there that are pretty informative and have helped me with planning my upcoming cruise that stops in Halifax.
