Canadians, beware exchange rate on gratuities

I avoid this whole rigamarol of CC and exchange rate by paying CASH on the last sea day or 2 days prior .I ask them to add all tips and I pay my bill in full in US$ I purchased at a better rate

 

That doesn't help on Select Dining, it must be paid in advance in the currency you booked in.

Can you NOT switch on board ?Book traditional and ask for anytime once on ship ...everybody allows this...not CElebrity?

 

I believe Celebrity does allow that, but the risk is that there may not be any space left to book it onboard.

As mentioned above me, Celebrity only allows a certain number of passengers to have Select Dining..so you do run the risk of it being sold out if you waited until you boarded.
