rokerman Posted August 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2010 Do any of the food outlets provide a packed lunch for taking on-shore?

Flo71 Posted August 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2010 We made some ham and cheese rolls at breakfast, took some of the morning pastries and put them in a small cool bag. Had no problems and they were yummmm.
berlingo Posted August 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2010 I seem to remember there being tables set up as you were leaving the ship at port. These were selling various drink and snack deals eg pop, crisps, chocolate bars. From memory I think you could choose five items and these were charged to your account. They did not seem to sell a lot but were not too expensive. As we are not huge fans of sightseeing we found that after a substantial breakfast we could all (including two hungry teenagers!) last out- maybe with an quick ice cream- until we got back to the ship. However this may well be different if you were having full days ashore. For drinks we took bottles of chilled ship tap water with us.Do remember that what ever time you return there is always lots of food available at the buffet, pizzeria and room service even if the main restaurants are closed. To be honest the food was so good on board we were not tempted to eat on shore. Regards Julia
Elaine0138 Posted August 9, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2010 no where to buy a packed lunch onboard. if you do take food with you, be careful you don't fall foul of any local laws which prevent you taking in food to that country from the ship.
