Getting from Port to Airport for early flight?

What is best way to get to Marco Polo (VCE) airport from the port for a 6:35am flight ? Are land taxi's available this early ? Our ship will arrive the day before but wanted to spend the last night on the ship if possible. Our flight is not booked through cruiseline.

To be sure, you may want to book a taxi the night before. Since you'll be in Venice, this will be easy to do. There is a small charge for booking, but it's worth it for the security of knowing it will be there.
