On the CB Cruise out of New York to the Eastern Caribbean, Is there a prefence of Port or Starboard side better for viewing while docked in port i.e St. Thomas, San Juan etc. ? Of course we will be going ashore but will also spend some time on our balcony while in port. Thanks.

We have done that cruise several times and like the Port side. :)

That depends upon whether you would rather look out at the sea or the pier. In San Juan the ship could be on either side of the pier, but the CB usually, but not always, has its starboard side facing the pier.

In St. Thomas, the CB usually goes to Crown Bay and backs in to the dock with the port side facing the pier.

We prefer starboard because at Red Hook, the balconies face the Statue of Liberty. We faced the Clocktower in Bermuda, the new city in San Juan, and the open sea in Grand Turk. We docked in Havensight instead of Crown Bay because the Oasis was in port too, and we faced the pier.

we were on the port side this cruise and last year we were starboard. We preferred starboard facing the statue of liberty, the port in Bermuda, and grand turk we were on the side with the carnival pride next to us but they left and then it was a nice view. Just our opinion. Depends on what you prefer.
