AP Tours from Naples?

I've read alot of reviews on Rome In Limo, but I can't find much on AP Tours. I am interested in using them for a tour out of Naples to Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. Has anyone used this company?

Thanks for your input! :-)

I have. Did you do a search in this forum ? There are ALOT of posts about APTours.....

that said, I can highly recommend them. Very professional company, nice new shiny van (held 8 of us easily) and helped us do all the stuff we wanted to do that day, and without making us feel rushed.

I have only seen one negative comment about them here on CC...... all others have been very positive.

This is an example of how the cc search engine does not work. I tried ap alone, no results. I also tried aptours, no luck. Any suggestions.

When you are at the main "Italy" page, pull down the search this forum and enter " APTours" I just did and 34 threads came up......all with APTours somewhere in them.

I also just tried the search tab at the very top of the page ..... entered aptours and 250 threads came up. Yikes - thats too many to mess with.

Hope that helps. :)

We used AP Tours in June for the Amalfi Coast tour (including Pompeii) and I would have to say this company outshines all of the rest. We had 6 others join us so we had a group of 8 and had one of the greatest tour experiences ever; Alberto was our driver, and he is the best we have ever had.

Hi we used AP Tours last October out of Naples to do Amalfi coast drive taking in Ravello, Amalfi, Positano and then leaving from Sorrento to get the hydrofoil back to dock (took 20 minutes back). We had lunch in a restaurant in the mountains overlooking Positano. Our guide was Alberto (gorgeous!!) and from start to finish through booking to going on this trip they were helpful, friendly, professional, knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. The Mercedes van we were in was new and immaculate.

Cannot recommend this company highly enough.

We actually had an AP licensed guide (along with the driver) for the day. It was Georgio and he was very good. If you have 9 or more people, AP includes the licensed guide for the day. While this is good for Pompeii, very little is added for the other stops. We had 15 people and I would recommend paying a little more and going for a smaller tour and hiring your own licensed guide at Pompeii. That takes nothing away with the high recommendation I give AP.

Just returned from our trip and hired AP Tours. I requested Alberto because I had read so many good reviews about him, but he was not available. Instead, our driver was Vittorio and he was absolutely delightful! He is a very personable and knowledgeable young man. We stopped in Ravello and Positano for some shopping. I requested eating lunch at La Tagliata in Positano based on reviews from Cruise Critic and Trip Advisor. Within 5 minutes of being seated in the restaurant, 11 different plates of appetizers were placed in front of us....along with 2 bottles of water and 2 bottles of wine! This was followed by 5 different main course dishes and an array of home baked desserts. Finally, we were served delicious Limoncello. It was a fantastic meal in a location with the most marvelous views. We ended up in Sorrento which is a charming town with little shops...really liked Sorrento. Vittorio assisted us with the purchase of our hydrofoil tickets and then escorted us to the correct boat and we docked in Naples and walked the few blocks back to our ship. An utterly outstanding day!!

Used APTOURS from Salerno and had the most fabulous day. The price quote was less expensive than other companies and our driver Aaron knew so much about the area, was considerate of our wants and sudden change in plans, as well as being funny and so polite. We hated for the day to end. The other great experience was his apparent expertise driving along the Amalfi Coast safely and NEVER showed a moment of frustration. Can't say the same about us. It is amazing how daring these drivers are, but Aaron had it all under control. Would use them again and have no hesitation recommending them.
