XSYTD Posted August 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2010 Can anyone please comment on the location of the forward cabins on the riviera deck of the Ruby Princess? Is there a lot of motion felt from the ship rocking back and forth up there? Would you consider it a fairly good location or should we move? Are there any positives (or strong negatives) for this location? Any feedback would be appreciated:o
choochella Posted August 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2010 We have sailed the Ruby, but had a forward cabin on the Lido deck, which is one level up from the Riviera deck. We love the Lido deck because it is so close to the pools, MUTS, buffet, etc. Forward is the only Lido deck cabins you can get on the Ruby. We also book inside cabins. We have never encountered motion. Although, we have been pretty lucky with weather. You can feel more motion being that far up if there are high sea swells or considerable wind. If you are prone to sea sickness and/or motion, you may want to consider a lower deck cabin midship.

CrusinAgain Posted August 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2010 When we were in the NorEaster last year we tried to walk all the decks inside since all outside was closed and we noticed the further forward we got the more motion up and down and side to side and the higher we went the worse it got but this was abnormal and our first storm as normally we hardly feel a thing.
