Car rental in Sidney???

My husband and I want to rent a car in Sidney, Nova Scotia and I saw how helpful everyone was to the last post about car rentals in Charlottesville and hope to get the same kind of advice for Sidney. Thanks in advance.

I have reserved Enterprise, unlimited miles, no charge for spouse, will pick you up at the pier.

Just a quick note (and I'm not being mean), it's spelled Sydney. There is a Sidney in Canada and it is in British Columbia. When you're checking rates online, you will want to spell it correctly.

 

Have fun. Sydney is a great little town. We just enjoyed grabbing a coffee and walking around. It was incredibly charming with a lot of history. :)

Budget car rental,will pickup at the pier. Their number in Sydney is 902-564-2611.

Enterprise is a great rental car company....and they are only a few blocks from the pier. I've used them many times in the past (here in Ontario)...they'll pick you up right at the pier.

Yes, but..... They seem to have a small fleet in Sydney, and were unable to provide a car that we had reserved, nor were they able to get us a car from another company; they told us that some cars that they expected back were not yet returned. So we ended up taking a taxi tour to Baddeck. On the other hand, they were great in Halifax, also picking up and dropping off at the dock, and I believe that they are the only Canadian rental company offering unlimited mileage (kilometrage?). Just have a Plan B in mind in Sydney....
