First Timers Question re Boarding Ship

Hi. My Sister-in-law and husband are sailing on another ship out of Barcelona on the same day as we are. Not sure how the boarding procedure works and we would like to be able to meet them at some point before we sail.

Can we board the ship and then get off a bit later and visit with them? We should be able to board around 11am and the ship doesn't sail until 6pm so would like to be able to meet with them if possible.

Yes, you may get off the ship after you have boarded. You'll just have to carry your Oceania room key/photo ID with you, in order to reboard.

And yes, luncheon is served in the Terrace Grill on boarding days in Miami.

:D

Depends on the Cabin Cat if you can board early

you can drop your bags check in at the desk, get your cards and go off ...just be back by all aboard time ..it will be posted or just ask

I would be there at least 1 hr before sailaway they usually have Muster drill between 5-6PM

Thanks for that Lyn. We are in Concierge A1 and it would appear we can board early.

We thought we would have lunch and then get off and see if we can find our relatives. They are sailing on a Celebrity ship and doing the Med as well. No idea if it will be easy or difficult to find them at the port in Barcelona.

Thanks Jim and Stan. We are actually sailing out of Barcelona.

There are actually two ports of departure in Barcelona, the World Trade Center which is almost within a stone's throw of the Columbus circle at the base of Las Ramblas, and Muelle Asadao, which is about 2 kilometers from the Columbus circle. However, I understand there is a shuttle from Muelle Asadao which drops passengers right at the Columbus circle. You won't discover which Oceania is using unti you receive your final documents, but I think the majority of time they use the WTC.
