Has anyone done the KB7 tour? If so what was good about and what was bad. How long are you one the motorcoach going from place to place?

yes, sorry. It is an Alaska cruisetour where you tour first then cruise. It is the one that goes to the Kenai Wilderness lodge called off the beaten path.

We opted for an all train tour, but that said, they use the same coaches for the shuttles as the longer legs so I can at least speak to that.

 

The buses are fairly standard tour buses, and I can't say I would recommend them for any more than 5-6 hours max. The buses do have video systems, and the drivers seemed very nice.

 

That said, only two of the legs are motorcoach. The Denali to Talkeetna one is about 5 hours, not sure on the Kenai legs but from a map they look to be about 4 hours each, so its doable. Boarding at Whittier is a snap.

 

Note that people we met said the Kenai lodge was well worth the trip!

Almost forgot, in Denali, upgrade from Natural History tour to Tundra Wilderness tour - you will not regret it!
