airt Posted August 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2010 We are looking at a cruise for July 2011 'Holy Land cruise' Mariner Of The Seas 11 nights sailing from Rome. Has anyone every done this cruise and is it suitable for families 2 Adults & 2 Children age 15 & 10 when cruising. We have cruised before but never this itineary. Any details and advice would help. Thanks Airt:cool:
cb at sea Posted August 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2010 Any cruise is "suitable" for families....if the family is interested in the ports! Seems to be very "history" intensive, instead of a fun, relaxing trip....
sailingawaysoon Posted August 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2010 This sounds like a very interesting cruise itinerary. I hope you have a great time and I'm looking forward to reading your review when you return. Sounds like a great cruise!

klfhngr Posted August 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Sorry, but I wouldn't take my kids... Worried about terrorism in the middle east. Don't bash me, but this is how I feel....

Thanks Airt:cool: I did Princess Grand Mediterranean in July, 2010. Other than being hot & humid, we had 2 kids in our group and they were troopers. Mix your excursions with history and cultural things. Keep it interesting for the kids. Ephesus is incredible. It's on the wish list to go back to. Enjoy.
