Back to back cruises??????

The best thing about back-to-back, in my opinion, is that when everyone else is lamenting that their vacation is over, your vacation is only HALF done! They're being forced to leave the ship, and go home, but you can stay aboard for another cruise. How sweet is that???? :D

Can you actually stay onboard the ship or do you have to disembark and then reenter??

I've only done one B2B but I loved it.

I think they are a real value when having to fly to your embarkation port and then if you are on a ship that does alternating itineraries it's even better.

That's what I did in 2008 on the Glory that was replaced by the Dream in Port Canaveral. Alternating East and West Itineraries.

Yes you do have to leave the ship but you get escorted off and then return right back on. You do not have to take your stuff with you. You are given a "meeting spot" the day before. My sis (lucky her) does a b2b every year.

is it something that can be booked online or you have to call Carnival?

It will be like doing two cruises is the prize just doubled or it will be cheaper?

I really would like to try one ot those .....

Iv done three, and have one planned for this fall (after the Crazies cruise).

You should be escorted right off and thru customs to turn in the form, 10 minutes to pick up your new card (which we did in the atrium on Conquest, they took our credit cards and did the check in there at the purser's desk).

We got B2B gifts. Conquest champange and a really huge deluxe fruit basket, even had a celophane package of almonds.

We got chocolate covered stawberries as our B2B gift on triumph.

Iv heard some ships dont have a gift, but its nice when you get one.

B2B's are awesome. You only have to fly to the port once, you get to stay on the ship while everyone else ie leaving, you can book the same room for both cruises, you get any alcohol purchased during the first cruise delivered for your second, etc...

And you don't always have to leave the ship. It must be port specific because in San Diego we did not have to leave the ship between cruises. We just had to wait at the purser's desk to get new S&S cards.

All we did was go the the purser's desk at 1100 and got our new S&S cards. They cx them and you can't get back in your room. We didn't get off the ship.

We did the customs thing and the end of the 2 weeks when we got off.

won't do the same ship anymore too many things the same, off one ship and on to the next, that was great.
