Looking at going on a cruise on Dec. 26 and the choices for us are the Legend, Valor, or Glory. Going with an active 5 year old whose dream is to swim with stingrays and who loves arts & crafts. Hubby and I, on the other hand, like quiet time. Need opinion on which of the 3 ships is loveliest, most fun, etc. THANKS!

The only one of these ships I have been on is the Valor. I liked it a lot, but I am used to the Conquest class ships and their layout. Glory is the same layout and those two ships will only differ in decor and itinerary of course. The Legend is just a bit smaller, but appears to be from all the great reviews I have read here on Cruise Critic, a wonderful ship. I really like the photos people have posted of this ship. It sails out of Tampa, which is a port that I like very much. Lots to do in Tampa pre and post cruise if you choose to. And the Legend has a very good western itinery. Though I have not been on the ship, my choice would be the Legend.:)

Read my post on "which are the Good and Bad Carnival ships." Lots of helpful advise from the board there.

I have travelled Valor and thought it magnificent. If you go on Valor, make SURE to eat at Scarlett's Diner Club....unbelievably worth the money! (It's very hard to find, off the Promendade deck.)

The atrium of the Valor makes you feel Regal as soon as you embark and sip your first drink while sitting on the red leather sofas looking at the wonderful view.
