Eastern vs Western Carribean

Last year was my first cruise and I went on an Eastern Carribean cruise and absolutely loved it. I don't want to do the exact same thing again, and would like to try to the Western, but I've heard better things about the Eastern. Is it even worth it to do a Western? Or should I just try to find a cruise with different ports of call on an Eastern Carribean cruise? Thoughts and Opinions welcome!!!

I love the Western Caribbean for a couple of reasons; outstanding snorkeling and Mayan ruins. If either or both of those appeal to you, then you'd enjoy a Western Caribbean cruise.

We've done the Eastern Caribbean several times, and we usually just do a different excursion if we make port at an island we've already visited. So, you can try for a different itinerary and if that itinerary duplicates an island, explore a different activity while there.

I've done both, and am doing another western one this winter. The opportunity to see Mayan ruins and some of Central America is, for me, the big bonus. I'd do eastern again too, although I'd look at a different itinerary. I agree that southern would be great, but it's getting there that's tough.
