Bella cruiser Posted August 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Hi all, we will be in Noumea on 24 September 2010 and were intending to book a tour from the terminal in Noumea to save a few bucks. Now we have found that its a Public Holiday there on that date.:( This also puts an end to the planned trip to the famous Chocolate shop:mad: Has anyone been there on a Public holiday, if so is anything open? are any tours available? Are the markets upstairs in the terminal open? Or should we book something with P & O? Can you still get your Passport stamped? Help please, any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jenny

Thanks Jenny We were there on Easter Sunday. Most things were closed but tours still happened. Markets were open. We did a private tour operating from the terminal. Food shop open. Password stampnig all there etc. A lot less cars on the road being Easter
mitchella51 Posted August 25, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Maybe just Maybe the Captain might change the itinerary around to allow for the public holiday, after all it would be to their advantage to have as many as possible passengers book shore tours with them. They wont or cant book if the town is shut because of the holiday.
