SF Posted August 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2010 We are thinking of booking a cruise on Equinox and have two cabins to choose from. The first cabin is 7158 an inside and cabin 6167 a balcony but I believe it is listed as partial obstructed. The balcony cabin is about 130.00 more per person for the 10 day sailing. Being that we are three people is it worth the little extra space? Also, does anyone know how obstructed cabin 6167's balcony is? We can also upgrade to deck 9 and a better cabin but that would require more money again. Should we consider that option also?
Gonzo70 Posted August 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2010 I would definitely do the balcony. That is not much extra money for a having a nice addition to your stateroom. In general the obstruction on that deck is that the lifeboats are one level below the balcony and stick out some off the side of the ship, so if you are at the edge of the balcony, you cannot look straight down to the sea. Your view looking straight outwards though would not be obstructed. Again this applies to most staterooms listed as having an obstruction on deck six, but you should search for info on that particular stateroom to make sure it is not something more significant. cruise kitty Posted August 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2010 absolutely the balcony! Fresh air, a place to sit outside when others are showering, & getting ready. Worth much more $ than that, but you're getting a great deal!
cruie4ever Posted August 28, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2010 with out question take the balcony for such a little difference in price .You will have the extra space & the fresh sea air to breathe . We only do balcony cabins now .
jackdiamond Posted August 29, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2010 Please be advised that those balcony cabins are only about 191 suare feet; hence, it is almost a necessity for three people. I am not sure about the insides, but I believe that they are smaller.
