Sounds like you had fun!!Sundays in front of the cathedral , with the band playing and the folks dancing the sardana was a favorite experience of mine!! My sister and I joined in the dancing and it was fine until they got to the "fast step".

Thank you for sharing your trip. Not only have you confirmed much of what I think we should see on our upcoming Med trip (Magic 12 day May 2011) but how to go about it. Knowing my spouse as well as I do, trekking via train or bus under stress, will not lead to an enjoyable trip. Him because he won't be happy doing it, me because if he's not happy then I won't be happy ;-). Best will be for us to (hopefully combined with a few other couples) hire one of the well known tour companies to transport us to and around the major cities.

I could live on good pizza, good wine and good gelato!
