camera card to disc

My sis was wondering whether she would be able to download her camera card onboard the ship, (Jade), and have them put it on a cd, and if they do offer that service, how much it would be. Anyone done this or know? Thanks!:)

The photo gallery probably can... if I remember correctly, about 5-6 years ago I did it once and it was about 15-20 dollars per cd (one memory card)... so depending on how many photos she takes it can get expensive... personally I just make sure I bring lots of memory cards.

Wow! 15-20$ seems like a lot. I'll let her know. I agree, I'd rather bring extra cards, but she thought she might just wait and take her chances, and if she ran out, have them transferred onto a disc if the service was available. At that price, she may rethink her strategy. Thanks for the help.

If she brings her laptop, she could download them each night and burn a disc or two when she returns.

Personally, I would not trust them to do it.

 

The cost of extra memory cards is very low. Also, some people take the big super megapixel pictures and can do very well with a lower setting, hence more pictures on a memory card.

 

We actually take our laptop so we can down load them.
