Recent Legend Cruisers: Noon ok for flight home?

Possibly booking the Legend in the beginning of November. Going back and forth between US Air or Spirit for flights. US Air has flight home from Tampa at 12noon or 3:00 pm.

Recent Legend cruisers: in your opinion, will we make the 12noon flight from the Tampa airport using self-debarkation? I hate hanging in the airport if I don't have to!

I appreciate your comments and thank you in advance!

Most definitely. When we sailed on the Legend last September, we did self-disembarkation and were at our house in Sarasota (1 hr. drive) after dropping off our friends and picking up the dog at the kennel at 9:45AM. The Tampa airport is a short 20 minute drive from the pier and taxis are readily available.

Have a GREAT cruise!!!!

You could make a 10:00 flight with self disembarkation and you can use regular disembarkation, wait until the end and be the last off the ship and make the noon flight.

Tampa is very easy. It is about a 15 minute cab ride from the port and clearing airport security is easy as can be. 12:00 will be no problem at all and is within the time Carnival suggests.

just off the legend sunday. we had a 11:35 am flight and did self assist and were at the airport by 9:00 am with tons of time to spare we took a shuttle service as opposed to a cab and only paid $10/per person to get there (because there were only 2 of us this saved money.) have fun!

Can you help explain the self assist - can you take the elevators and

then roll the luggage down the ramps or do you have to pick up the

luggage and carry it down steps?

Any information about this process would be helpful. Trying to decide

whether to use self assist with my elderly parents or just use the

regular process to make a 12:40 flight.

Thanks

If you can get an elevator you can take it but why bother. Your flight is so late that regular disembarkation is fine, and who wants to haul every item of luggage that they have around with them.

Sorry but one more request. My son and daughter in law will be

flying out of the St. Pete airport at 12:10 - do they need to do the

self assist or will they make that flight as well. Looks like St. Pete

airport is about 30 minutes from the port.
