Ft Lauderdale Hotel with Nice Beach

We are coming in the day before out cruise and looking for a nice hotel on the beach. As we will have quite a few sea days on the cruise, looking to spend the day before and of the cruise on the beach if possible.

Thanks for you advice!

The only hotels directly on the beach are Marriott Harbor Beach, Lago Mar, Sheraton, Pelican Grand, and a few that are much further north. The hotels directly on the beach are a further walk to restaurants. My favorite is the W, but it is across the street from the beach. Ritz Carlton and Marriott Beach Place are in the middle of everything. Bahia Mar tends to have the best prices.

We stayed at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort last March....we really liked it the 2 nights we were there....the beach is just across the highway...about 100' from the hotel proper

Second this recommendation. Stayed there for just the day (got day room) and found the staff to be very friendly, hotel room was clean and updated, pool was very comfortable, and the beach is directly across the street. Also thought this would be a decent option as the room has a mini-kitchen area (mini frig, microwave, toaster). Starbucks is also onsite.

Lago Mar is my choice too. Beautiful "Old Florida" hotel RIGHT ON THE BEACH. No highway to cross. Nice lagoon type pool, and a regular pool too. Several different room types, hotel type, one bedroom, two bedroom, with small kitchens. Pool bar and restaurant, beach restaurant, room service, and lovely buffet breakfast. Higher end fancy gourmet restaurant on the premises. Service is perfection. A very short cab ride to the port. We loved it here the first time, and have reserved again for our next cruise.

Bahia Mar gets my vote. Right across the street from a beautiful stretch of beach. It has a skywalk linking the hotel to the beach so you don't have to dodge traffic. There are 2 or 3 dining options from deli casual to sit down dinner. It has a nice large pool with a Tiki bar.

They offer tower rooms and marina rooms. The tower rooms are nicer (also a bit more $ of course) and some have small balconies.

It is popular with boat and yacht owners and has a really nice marina.

For a nice beach hotel I think the prices are great, we paid an average of $150 per night for a tower room w/balcony.
