Miami airport to port...

Hello,

 

Flying into Miami International Airport 10/10/10 and was wondering if anyone had any issue catching a cab/taxi to the Miami port? Also, any ideas of the fare price? I look forward to your responce.

Cabs are a flat rate of $26.00 from MIA to POM. No problems getting them either, plenty of them.

That price is for the cab, not per passenger! Regualr cabs and van-cabs are the same price. Share your cab with other cruisers and save!;)

Probably not.

 

If the ship docks at 8 am there are no guarantees that anyone will be cleared from the ship that early. Then you have to collect your luggage and travel to the airport; check-in and get to your gate.

 

Of course if you miss your flight you can always go standby, but these days flights are flying full so that may mean a wait - and possibly a fee.

 

The cruiselines generally recommend flights after 12 noon. If you get there early enough to take an earlier flight then maybe try hopping on standby. No point in ending your stress-free vacation in a mad rush for the airport!
