John Heald ‎9:56am....just finished morning show. Spoke to the cruise loyalty guys and they told me that the hot ship at the moment is the Carnival Miracle and her voyages to Aruba.

Here are the details http://www.carnival.com/Itinerary.aspx?embkCode=FLL&itinCode=SCQ&durDays=8&shipCode=MI&subRegionCode=CS&rateCode=PUB

I am so glad I booked early as they prices have certainly increased.

We went to Aruba and Curacao in March/April 2009 on the AOS and fell in love with the ABCs. Looking for a cruise this November/December we found the Noordam (balcony $105/night) to be of a better value compared to the Millenium, Serenade OTS, Caribbean Princess, Emerald Princess, Westerdam, or Miracle in that order based on price per night for a balcony, amount of time in the ABCs, no of nights (10 is better than 7), sea day to port ratio, and no of new ports (for us anyways).

We looked hard at the Miracle because we love the ship size/layout. We’re on the Spirit tomorrow to Hawaii.

Here’s the Noordam details.

maybe someone chartered the whole ship:D

JK JK JK.....but I don't have a clue..maybe they did...

I didn't even look to notice which sailing it was - and wow, it is sold out. We are on the Dec 5 sailing and there are still some categories available. The prices are quite a bit higher from when we booked last spring. No cashing in on early saver for me.

We are sailing the Miracle Oct. 18th to GT, La Romana, Aruba, and Curacao.:D

Got the golf cart rented in GT.:D

Originally this date was or looked sold out until final payment. Then the TA blocks became available and the prices went up. They still are showing rooms available, but no price drop. I need some more OBC.

I booked Oct 18th the day it came out to snag 4228. I also managed to grab the VS suite the day before they formed the category. When I booked it the cabin was just a Cat 11. I have waited a year for this one and the price has gone way up. It is a lot higher then the other Miracle 8 day cruises.

My husband and I are also on the 12/5 sailing and we're celebrating our 1st anniversary. Prices have skyrocketed since we booked last October.

Were you booked on the old itinerary then before it changed to the new ports? If so, nice suprise! :) When I saw the ports, it was a no brainer which cruise we would sail on for our anniversary.

Booked a few weeks ago and payed a little more than other cruises that week, but well worth it in my opinion. Just not sure what to do in in Aruba and Curacao.

Trying to figure out the same thing. The Ports of Call boards don't have a ton of info for these ports.

Can't wait to read the reviews once this itinerary starts running next month! :)

We are looking at Beach days for both of these and then hitting a casino during the evening hours in Aruba. I too will be looking for the reviews.

My wife an I spent a week in Aruba last year and enjoyed it. It has a Dutch character, with good pancake houses. There is a nice shopping area in the main town. The people are quite friendly, no pushy vendors, and we felt totally safe.

It is a desert island, sparse with cactus, and a has a constant trade wind.

There are several good beaches. Eagle Beach is closest to the cruise terminal and is near the low-rise condos. It is a quieter less crowded place. Palm beach is in the high-rise area and has a younger livelier feel. At the southeast corner is baby beach which is part of a man-made lagoon that is great for beginning snorkelers.

After our trip my wife told me she wanted us to retire there. I will also be curious about whether people enjoy this port - I will certainly consider this cruise.

The "B" in the ABC islands is Bonaire.

My October 18th cruise turned into an official Cruise Critic group cruise so there are a lot of CC members on it. We have a pretty big roll call so I am sure you will get a fair amount of reviews. I was thinking of doing one myself.
