Transportation from Houston to Galveston

If you fly into Houston Hobby what is the best way to get to either a hotel in Galveston or the pier there? Anyone know the cost of transportation and the best way to do it?

The cost is $89.00 each way total for two people. We are already booked with them for next February for our Voyager cruise.

When we went, you could rent a car in Houston and drop it off in Galveston. On the way back, pick up a car and drive it back to Houston. Not recommending any carrier, but we used Enterprise and Enterprise has transportation to and from the port. It can be cheaper, especially if you want to have a car while staying in Galveston.

Beware if you want to drop off or pick up a rental car on Sunday. As of last March, there were no rental car agencies on the island open on Sunday.
