I've seen cabins assigned within a week, or sometimes we have waited until less than a week before the cruise. I have read about others who have had a cabin assigned early on and changed before the cruise.

Booking a guarantee leave it all up to fate....

Heard all kinds of things from months out, to the week before, to the day of the cruise. And, they can change it right up until the time you board.

I've gty assigned NCL the day I booked (2 to 3 weeks prior to cruise),

HAL appx 2 weeks prior,(booked 2months prior to cruise)

NCL booked in July, assigned in August, sailing in Dec.;)
