Excursions in the Bahamas and the baby

We did the city tour with zoo in Nassau when our son was two. There were no car seats available on the bus, so he sat in my lap. I was reluctant in doing so (I'm a homicide investigator and way cautious cop dad) but after talking to others who have been on the tour, I was relieved that the actual driving time in the bus was minimal.

This JUST dawned on me that we may need transportation to the excursions and therefore need a carseat. Does anyone know what type of transport are used for these two excurions?

Glass Bottom Boat FREEPORT, BAHAMAS

Ardastra Gardens & City Tour NASSAU, BAHAMAS

Thanks!

Just a heads up regarding car seats. It is going to be the rare exception that you ever find one on any of the islands. If you really must have your child ride in one then be sure and take your own.

Well if it is going to be a bus then I can't use a carseat anyway I guess

How did we ever make it thur the 50's and the 60's ??

We rode in the back window of car climbed over the seats,

station wagons were great riding in the back window down

most did'nt even have seats , much less a car seat

Seat belts?? what was that:eek:

and don't forget the metal dash boards

I'm going to say fewer cars that were actually made of metal and no cell phones! LOL
