Local residents and reporters are now posting some incredible images and video of storm surge and high winds. Some locations should be very familiar to most who have visited the Islands. The worst, I fear is yet to come.

Oh, no! To whoever is there, stay safe! I hope the damage isn't too bad! I'm so looking forward to my trip there in 5 weeks. :(

If you go to above link there are current updates... the ferrys are expected to run Tuesday, lots of power back on as of this p.m. and reads like most damage is power lines and major beach erosion with some structures that were flooded etc. Considering what this hurricane was a week ago at a Cat 4 I'd say they are pretty lucky there considerin' what could have been.
