gunnerfubar Posted February 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2005 How does this work? When I go to book an excursion, it prompts me for my credit card information. Do they charge your card now? I was under the assumption that they just charged the amount of the excursion to your S&S card. -Gunner
teresag Posted February 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2005 I was charged the day I booked the excursion. They just put it on my credit card.:)

musicmansmom Posted February 16, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2005 i like the idea of having more things paid for in advance before my cruise. it makes the sail and sign easier to swallow at the end of the trip.

Cruisinforever Posted February 16, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 16, 2005 I agree.... my S&S card's final tally will be about 1/3 the amount by pre-paying the excursions now. But...ouch! :(
sussy Posted February 19, 2005 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2005 If you book an excursion ahead of time from Carnival and end up having to cancel, can you get your money back? What if the weather is bad and you can't do the excursion you had planned to do? I'm new to cruising and I just don't want to make any mistakes. I probably will book my excursions as soon as I can - I understand some of them get filled up quickly. Elation 7/31/
cruzin2paradise Posted February 19, 2005 #8 Share Posted February 19, 2005 I don't have experience with this on Carnival, but we booked an excursion on RCI last year, they charged our credit card. When we got on the ship, we changed our minds and went to the excursion desk, they refunded the amount to our onboard account and then we booked the new one -- it seemed weird, but it worked out. Again, I don't know how they work this on Carnival.
cruzn buckeye Posted February 20, 2005 #9 Share Posted February 20, 2005 I want to book an excursion online and can't do so because when I try to add my booking number to my profile, nothing happens. I click on and nothing comes up. Has anyone had this problem? Is it because I didn't book the cruise online?
mnsawyer Posted February 20, 2005 #10 Share Posted February 20, 2005 I wanted to book our cruise on-line but had trouble with the website and had to call directly. Then I tried to book shore excursions but needed to add my booking number. Had trouble there too and had to talk to another rep and she fixed it for me. I just booked an on-line excursion this week with no problems. Just give Carnival a call and they will transfer you to an IT rep.
