kloegel Posted September 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2010 Sorry for my silly question, but which is the higher category G or GG. I want to book a guaranteed category. Thanks
Astro Flyer Posted September 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2010 While GG is a "higher" category nearly all cabins are identical within type (inside, balcony, etc). I've found that the old higher decks being more expensive still exists & I prefer lower decks for it's stability. A lower deck mid-ship cabin is better for us than going up one deck either fore or aft.
Rare geoherb Posted September 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2010 The G cabins are closer to the front of the ship. The GG cabins are right behind them. On the Crown and the Emerald, we had category G guarantees and were upgraded to a category F and a category FF. There's not much difference other than being slightly closer to the middle of the ship. We loved the convenience of being on the Emerald Deck. It's a great location for us--just one flight away from the Promenade Deck. But on our Sapphire Princess cruise last month, we booked a category G cabin and were upgraded to an category D on the Plaza Deck. For December, we booked a category HH on the Island and have been upgraded to another category D on the Plaza Deck.
