On our very first cruise on the Century our new Canadian friends were upgraded to the the Penthouse Suite.

 

Wow!!! How could anyone leave that suite during a cruise.

We had something somewhat similar happened to us in June '08...got upgraded to ...... P H :D !!! on Century for a 12 day Scandinavian sailing....

Took us two days to finally stop pinching ourselves blue, out of disbelief....Yes, the great danger is being spoiled and wanting this as the norm for future cruises....We fortunately evaded that trap...still happy in Cs or 2s.....We DID however grabbed a quick sale recently on MERCURY when S1s came on line at lower than the 2A we were holding for about a year......Like you, we '' upgraded '' ourselves to SS1226 for our upcoming Panama voyage...I know, I know...we keep playing with fire here....:rolleyes:

I was once offered an upgrade, but they insinuated that I had to be a libertine for some of the crew onboard.

 

I guess some of them had a thing for unremarkable looking, 257 pound, out of shape, unathletic, cheeseburger eating men.

 

I thought about it but I couldn't respect myself if I did it.

 

Besides i'm spoken for. This hunka-hunka-burnin' love belongs to my lovely wife.
