Holiday Cruise in Carribbean

My husband and I will be planning a cruise for Christmas (7 -9) days and would like opinions on best area in Caribbean during that time. We have done the Western cruise before (Cozumel, Belize, Cayman Is.,Roatan Island) and would like to try other areas. Would the Eastern Caribbean be good at this time? We are concerned about the Atlantic ocean being too rough during the holiday time. Any favorite ports and excursions?
