Is there a pier/boardwalk in Ft. Lauderdale beach?

No, there is no pier or boardwalk on Ft. Lauderdale Beach, however there is a sidewalk for walking/running, adjacent to the street parking that stretches about 2-3 miles (not as wide as a boardwalk). The closest piers are Dania Beach pier (south of Ft. Lauderdale Beach) and the one on Commercial Blvd, north Ft. Lauderdale.

Hollywood Beach has what they call a broadwalk, which is a very wide walking/running/biking path that stretches 2 miles from end to end. There are lots of bars, restaurants, and beach shops along the way.

Anglin's Pier is a fee per entrance fishing pier in LBTS. There is no boardwalk in Fort Lauderdale, but I've seen people here on CC say there is. I think they mean there is a very wide sidewalk across the street from the beach that connect the beach shops, bars, and restaurants/cafes.
