Silly complaints

Not a complaint but the funniest tablemate ever. She was a middle aged woman who had a liking for her "medication" which I later figured out was Lortab. Our husbands first names were the same. All in one day:

1. She calls my cabin. Tells me she's at the spa and so relaxed (wasted). Asks about the PG party and I tell her she's not missing anything. She thanks me, hangs up. 30 seconds later calls back and when I answer she says "Is M*** there? I said he sure is. She screeches....who ARE you and WHY are you in my cabin with my husband??

2. She makes it to dinner but says she can't drink because of her "medication". Bar waiter comes around and she orders a double vodka. Soon after, she was nodding off at the table.

3. I order the lamb. Suddenly she comes to life and says in her long southern drawl "Oh Maaary, Maaary, Maaary" The whole table including her husband folds in laughter and I'm trying to figure it out when my friend leans over and says.....Mary had a little lamb. LOL :)

Bless her heart. She really was nice when she wasn't wasted.

Hmmmm, where I was raised, the term 'Bless her heart' has a bit darker meaning. LOL

Good thread. This one is priceless. Nice of your to be gracious to her.

I agree that there are some things the crew does that make you scratch your head...

I always bring an insulated, 32 oz. mug for Diet Coke. That way, when I'm bumming at the pool, I can still have a cold drink after 5 minutes!!! Went to a bartender to get a refill, with the Unlimited Soft Drink Card, and asked her to fill the cup. She put one can in, which was a little over half with the ice. I asked her again to fill it, and she smartley said, "You are limited to one can at a time." I asked her if she had seen the card for free UNLIMITED refills, and she said yes. I grabbed my mug, took about 2 steps back, walked up again, and said, "Hi, I'd like a refill." She then poured the 2nd can of Diet Coke in... People at the bar were almost falling off their stools laughing!

LOL! :D love it!

I'm so used to Facebook I was looking for an area I could "like this! LOL

I had forgotten one that my hubby reminded me of on our last cruise in the MDR for breakfast we we sat with a couple and the wife just complained about EVERYTHING! ugh but the stupidest thing of all was when she ordered the turkey bacon because it was listed as a healthy alternative

she took a bite and said "this is the worst bacon ever it doesn't even taste like regular bacon- this is disgusting"..

Me and DH were like wow LOL- um maybe because it's NOT regular bacon!

Well, they weren't full size ones, but they definitely had alcohol in them and we thought they were quite good! We'd seen them on Glory last year also. Sorry, just checked my Fun Times and it was 4/$15, still a good deal. Look under "Beverage Service" for "Martini Tasting" and it was at the Sushi counter.

This caught my eye, too! Did they offer flavored, as well, or just regular?

On the Triumph a couple of weeks ago the Martini tasting was only done on the first evening. You had your choice of about 8 different kinds and got about a 5-6 oz. drink of each. I think I had some kind of mango one and a blue one and a melon one. REALLY GOOD!!

Hoping they have it on the Miracle in 2 weeks. They only had it once the whole week though. :(

I was standing in line at the pursers desk when a "gentleman" came up to the Platinum line. The crew were all helping others and he started yelling that they needed to stop and come help him because he was platinum. I told him to shut up and quit being rude.

Sounds like another one of the "mad people". He needs to go back to "platinum school" so he would be reminded that standing in the P-line means that you are next to be served, not that anyone has to stop what they are doing to serve you.

We were on a cruise once and we were trying to beat the rain with a walk around the jogging track. The heavens opened and we got soaked. We ran to the nearest door and got inside. While we were waiting for the elevator, a lady asked us if we fell in the pool. We told her no that it was pouring outside. She looked puzzled and said "You mean rain is falling on the ship? I thought it only rained on land"

She was very serious.

They were all flavoured, not regular; I can't remember exactly but one was mango, one was with blue curacao, one had chocolate. I think there were 7 or so flavours to choose from.

I sat with this older couple and thought it was funny. Every night he ordered the same steak, and soup and salad. He had the waiter bring him a pile of saltines. The BIG pile .. I mean he ate a lot of those things, cracked me up especially. Every single night the same meal.

I have yet to find a martini tasting. I must be doing something wrong. I dont even know if I would like one, never had one.

Cruisers who are upset that everyone in a foreign port of call does not speak english.

Or take American money. Ran into a cruise group in Turkey at a small wayside bazaar. And a large man who was too sunburned was yelling at a small Turkish man that it was money by god- and he should take it. And the poor local guy had no idea what he was saying and just want to be paid in money he recognized. Not the best moment for international relations.

These are great. I am going to look out for some complaints on our upcoming cruise.

John Heald suggests sitting near the Guest Services desk. That's what I'm going to do next time. One of my favorite things to do is walk right up to the counter and pick up an extra Capers (Funtimes) and then walk away. You can feel the ire start to rise in people in line and then they have to swallow it.

Regarding the martini tastings--They had one on the Dream last year and I might try it next year on the Magic, but I am not much of a drinker and someone will have to drag me back to my cabin, I'm afraid.

My favorite thing to do is to stand by the desk (or on the Fantasy class ships stand in front of the Library overlooking the desk) on the last day and hearing everyone complain about their final bills :D

This wasn't a complaint....but it was funny!

Like i said in my earlier post....we missed 2 ports because of bad weather....on our "jamaica" sea day....about noon, my friend and i were walking on Promenade, by the casino, and we saw a girl, about 25, maybe, and she had her life jacket tied around her waist! I guess she was gonna be ready just in case!:D

This one reminds me of when i wanted to work in Bermuda (living in Toronto at the time) .. and told a friend... he asked if i would move there... my response no i would comute:rolleyes:

I'm from Daytona, and a bad storm wrecked the end of one of our piers. I overheard a tourist ask "When are they going to finish that bridge?" This would be a bridge over the Atlantic Ocean? We'll get right on finishing that.
