What are the very best things to do in these ports?

We are a group of 30-40 year old travelers and want to have the most fun without spending a fortune. What are the not-to-be-missed sites?

in Huatulco, the BEST is the little beach right there...we had the best time after taking a little tour around...the sealife was just right there so close to the shore you didnt even need to venture out to find it...specially near the rocks at the far end--we LOVE our time there just walking on the beach wadin in the water--picking up urchins and starfish seeing eels and all kinds of fish!

in Acapulco if you havent been a MUST to DO is see the Cliff Divers!

in Cabo if you are there between mid December thru March...WHALE WATCHING~~if not that time just take a water taxi over by Lands End for starters...lots of choices when you get off the ship right there at the pier! walk into town or shop around at the pier...

Cabo, Medano Beach, pick up snacks/drinks, take a water taxi over to Medano beach, and rent a beach chair/umbrella and then take a water taxi back and walk the Marina Boardwalk. Easy, fun, what most folks who spend little $ rave about in Cabo is Medano Beach and the Marina Boardwalk (cabo is a favorite port). We walk back from Medano, to visit our fellow cruse passenger in the many cafe's along the Marina Boardwalk

Acapulco is older, hot/humid with lots of traffic. Acapulco, Charter a clean VW taxi from an elderly kind looking driver for $10/hour. Visit some of the sights on the map below. Acapulco is typically not a favorite port

We did these ports on our coral princess panama canal cruise in march.

Huatulco we hired jet ski's on the beach for $120 for 2 hrs per machine

$60 P/P .we had a guide come along with us and we had a stop at nice beach along the way.we called them on arrival and they had them ready for us.

Acapulco we went with rudy and had a great day seeing the sights in his mini van.

cabo we just walked around the marina & did a glass bottom boat trip out to the arch and had a nice lunch and a few beers .you can do the zippline in cabo .

  • 2 weeks later...

We just got back from a cruise through the Panama Canal including Huatulco. Huatulco is a nice port and clean. We took a tour with Marcos Lopez. It was a cultural, city tour and beach time. We highly recommend him! Good correspondence and reasonable prices. He took us places the big buses can't go. Contact him at huatulco.tours@yahoo.com. Tell him Lynn sent you!

Take the bus to Playa Coleta only 5 pesos each. Then catch a water taxi over to Isla Roqueta I think that was about 70 pesos each r/t. We were there on a sunday & the island was full of local people. You get a good feel on how the locals relax & spend thier time at the beach.
