gman0119 Posted October 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Anybody gone with Pirates of the Carribean??? Any info would be appreciated. Haven't looked them up in about 3 years, and there website is the same, so don't even know if they are still in business!
alemap Posted October 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Although I can't comment on the tour, my sister just booked online with them, so they muststill be in business! She chose it because of the "extreme" zipping, which has so much more to offer than the standard zip tours.

#1TravelMom Posted October 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 12, 2010 We like South Shore Canopy the best. We've been to Roatan several times. Visit ronystours.com You can hire a private driver for the day - just $20 pp(group of 4+). They will take you everywhere you want to go and stay as long as you like. His drivers are so helpful and friendly. You will have a great day with them - no doubt. South Shore cost $45 - sooooo much fun. Rony's driver will help you decide where to spend your time after zipping - we recommend Infinity - just beautiful.

zounds Posted October 14, 2010 #8 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Ronystours.com has a comparison chart of all the Roatan zip lines with a lot of info. I'm hoping to do the Pirates in Dec. Steve
love2vacation Posted October 18, 2010 #9 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Question. How is the braking before the platforms accomplished? Are there guides on the platforms that throw out a brake, does a guide go with you? Thanks before had for the info. We are looking forward to zipping in Roatan, we had a great experience in Costa Rico.

Are there guides on the platforms that throw out a brake, does a guide go with you? Thanks before had for the info. We are looking forward to zipping in Roatan, we had a great experience in Costa Rico. We had two guides with us. One went first and one went after. Braking varied by zipline. Some were tilted in such a way that you could stop yourself with your feet, some they had a rope on the line and braked you as you came in and some they pretty much had to catch you.
