euro cruiser Posted October 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2010 A bus would be a two-stage process, one bus to Piazzale Roma, then either switch to another bus or take the People Mover. Spend the money on a cab, it will be a lot easier and so worth it.
riffatsea Posted October 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2010 I agree that you should take a taxi BUT I'd never choose to stay in Mestre over Venice itself for a hotel!!

I agree with this statement. The first time I went to Venice I stayed in Mestre and would never do it again. It takes a lot of time to get from Mestre to vgenice. The second time we went to venice we stayed in Venice just off San Marco square. It was wonderful and worth every extra penny.

If it's near train station then train is the fastest (5 min) otherwise lots of buses go from Mestre to P.Roma.
