Gigirn Posted October 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Hi,:p We will be cruising to Mexico this January (first time ever) and was wondering what the rules are for night swimming on the ship? We love night swimming....will the ships allow this or do they close pools at a certain time of the night? Thank you in advance.... P.S. I love reading the posts on these forums...some are very funny :D gigi
CrusinCyndi Posted October 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2010 They usually close the pools at night and put netting across the top of them to keep people from falling in.
cb at sea Posted October 14, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Some ships will leave 1 pool open....at least, for the main part of the evening....they do close at night for cleaning/draining, etc...

CapeCodCruiser Posted October 14, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Usually the pools close at 8pm except for the adult only one which closes at 10pm - the whirlpools close at 8pm, 10pm or midnight depending on location.
Shifra Posted October 14, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Princess keeps most of their pools open till quite late, sometimes midnight. The time will vary depending on what line you are going on. :)
RoofingPrincess Posted October 14, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 14, 2010 On my recent Royal Caribbean cruise, at least one of the pools was listed as being open 24 hours except for cleaning.
cruzeluver Posted October 14, 2010 #8 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Impossible to answer the OP's question without knowing what cruise line they are sailing.
Gigirn Posted October 14, 2010 Author #9 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Sorry, since I never cruised before, I didn't think to mention what cruise line or ship name. Now I know, thank you for kindly informing me. ;)
