What sort of budget for a 2 week cruise?

We would normally spend around £600-£1,000 on board on a typical 2 week cruise. We don't tend to spend an awful lot ashore - just the odd meal and drink, a taxi or two etc Perhaps $400-500. Plus a credit card for any gifts.

I think with your budget, you should be fine. Have a great time.

How many of you?

Are you big drinkers?

Do you play the casinos?

for two of us I budget in total $60 - $100 a day (excluding excursions) so if it is two may be a trifle high on your £1500.

The other side of the coin is excursions.

If you are going to go on a ship excursion at every single port Only 5 stops on the Caribbean side (assume it is the transatlantic on 25th October) so estimate $100 - $150 for the two of you.

Hope that gives you some indication

This is handy to know. There will be 2 of us going. I like a drink with dinner (wine or a cocktail) and couple of beers for hubby but not lots of drink as want to feel fresh in the daytimes :-) Am hoping £2000 for 2 weeks including excursions (we have 9 ports but will just do the beaches some days)

hi thanks for the reply's i should have said in my original post, there are 4 of us 2 adults 2 children,we like a drink but nothing crazy, and as for the excursions were doing diy on all the islands,i think pando excursion prices are way way over priced. It is the 25th of october sailing were on and looking at the 2 replys to my original post i think we will be ok with what ive bugeted,if we run short of funds i could always sell the £1000,000 of dresses the other half has bought for the cruise:cool:

Hi - if you are DIYing, I would have thought your budget would be absolutely plenty. We've just done a 2 weeks cruise on Azura. We did all the ports by ourselves, so our spending was on couple of drinks each before dinner and half a litre of house wine with the meal. We only spent £292. and £200 of that was On Board Credit.

I thought it was fine. It was a Chardonnay/Pinot Grigio blend. It's £7.90 for a half litre. The drinks in the bar were £2.95 for a small wine and similar for a whisky & ginger ale. Try a glass of house white, rose or red in the bar to see if you like it first/.
