SWA- how do we check in for connecting flights?

We have connecting flights on SWA. PHX-MDW-BOS

 

Do I need to check in both at the required time or just the first flight?

If it's all on 1 ticket,,,then just check in for first flight. The computer will handle the rest.

 

If for some reason you purchased seperate tickets for a multi leg flight, then you'd have to check in each time.

 

Just make sure that when you check your luggage, that they understand that your final destination is BOS. That way, the luggage will be checked all the way thru.

and the nice part will be that you will probably get a better boarding number for your second leg since you got to check in earlier than the folks who are first boarding at the in-between location.

Nope, they are independent of each other, but you do get them at the same time.
