Transportation from FLL to cruise terminal

What are other alternatives to getting from Fort Lauderdale airport to the cruise terminal other than cab or ship buses?

It's only a couple of miles. I'd just take a cab which is not expensive. Not sure what other transportation you had in mind for such a short trip.

Only 2 other options come to mind:

1. Limo - expensive
   
2. Walking - Make sure you have an early arrival at FLL:p
   

 

Seriously, the cab is the best option IMHO. They are plentiful and it's only a short hop to Port Everglades.

Ft. Lauderdale is one of the few ports where taking a cab from FLL to the port is actually the best way to get there.

 

A private car service isn't really worth it there.

Options:

 

Walking -- way too hard to lug suitcases on freeway

 

Limo -- way too expensive

 

HAL shuttles -- too expensive

 

Taxis -- lots of them -- easy and cheap

Taxi is about $15+- plus tip-worth it, make your life easy and stress free from the beginning. Enjoy your cruise!

We just did the trip by taxi last Monday and had a driver that went the correct route (some will take longer routes). The total fare on the meter was about $12.00 and we gave our driver a nice $3 tip since he did help with the luggage. Since we were two it was $7.50 per person and we were at the airport within a few minutes after getting our luggage while those with transfers were sitting on their buses waiting for a full load (not to mention having paid more money for the experience).
