Not sure if you all have seen the Weather Alert on NCL's page.

At Norwegian Cruise Line, the safety and security of our guests and crew is of the utmost importance. Therefore, the company is closely monitoring the path of Hurricane Tomas.

Currently, all of our ships except Norwegian Epic are sailing as scheduled.

Because of strong winds, Norwegian Epic’s departure from Cozumel on Thursday, November 4 was delayed. The ship overnighted in Cozumel and departed at 8:30 am ET this morning as soon as the weather improved.

Norwegian Epic's arrival into Miami on Saturday, November 6 is estimated at 10 am ET instead of its regularly scheduled arrival time of 8 a.m. Because of this new arrival time, embarkation for guests sailing on the November 6 Eastern Caribbean voyage will take place between 4-6pm and the ship is scheduled to set sail at 8 pm.

Norwegian Cruise Line asks all embarking guests to delay their arrival to the Port of Miami tomorrow based on the new embarkation and departure time. We appreciate our guests understanding and cooperation.

Should there be any updates they will be immediately posted on www.ncl.com.

We will continue to closely monitor the weather conditions and will update this information and notify our guests if there are any additional itinerary changes because of the storm’s projected path.

This was already discussed at length on the other thead. In fact, the Epic stalkers actually broke the news here on Cruise Critic 12 hours prior to any NCL posting.

How about that !

For the amount of time they lost at sea, it is quite amazing the next cruise is only delayed 5 hours. And they will of course make those 5 hours up easily.

I am jealous those on board got an extended cruise. How cool to not have to wake up at the crack of dawn to get off the ship.

But the downside is many are going to miss planes, etc. But remember, safety always comes FIRST !
