Charleston park and cruise

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in North Charleston on Fernwood drive. I would stay there again. A shuttle picks you up about noon and takes you to the port. Our car was fine while we were gone. It seemed like a very safe neighborhood.:o

Thanks for sharing! We are sailing out of Charleston on February 7 and we plan on arriving a couple of days early (we are driving down from Ohio). We honeymooned in Charleston and love it there. We are looking for a hotel to stay at and obviously, the whole parking thing concerns me.

 

I've heard people say they do the port parking and pay and then others who have left their cars at a hotel. This is a stupid question, but was it free to leave your car there at the hotel during your cruise?
