jeanlyon Posted November 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2010 Have just had notification from my TA that my "two full days" in Quebec City will actually only be 28 hours. This will prevent my travelling down to Ottawa to see my family. If this had been a late problem, then I would not be annoyed, however, it was exactly the same on this year's US/Canada cruises on Aurora and Arcadia. Itinerary and website both said two full days. P*O's website and also my itinerary online still say 2 full days and I have been e-mailing with them to be told the timings. Now they issue this emergency notification. I want to e-mail somebody in authority but don't know who? Anybody help? Jean
Merlin7 Posted November 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 27, 2010 I can understand your disappointment as you wished to travel further afield to meet up with family. It was the same when we did this cruise on Aurora in 2009. We actually had, from lunchtime on day one to the evening of the next day, in Quebec City. I remember a cruiser being very annoyed as they found themselves in the situation that you are now in. Time in port does not seem to be given nowadays until the excursion brochure plops onto your mat. Prior to this it was defined in the brochure, and, IMO, it is now rather vague as in a whole day may be from XX to XX etc. Absolutely no use when you are trying to plan ahead, even for DIY trips. jeanlyon Posted November 27, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted November 27, 2010 Hi Merlin, that's very interesting. Two full days should be a minimum of 33 hours, this is 27.5 hours. It's very disappointing, although apart from complaining there's very little to be done about it.
