Docking vs tendering

We will be taking an "island hopping" cruise around the Caribbean aboard the Maasdam beginning in March of next year where we will be visiting southern and eastern islands and we are just wondering if there is a quick way to determine which of tne numerous islands accord docking and which ones require tendering? Or perhaps there are some who remember which are which?

We have also experinced the same thing in a couple of ports.

Even though HAL's site had indicated which ports were to be tender ports -- when we arrived at a couple of ports where we were suppose to be docked -- because there were more ships in a port than normal -- we had to tender.

Things can change once you are on the ship.
