Vic The Parrot Posted February 25, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2005 .... and those prices are great! I'd take advantage of them. Did a similiar B2B a few years ago on Veendam. FLL to Eastern and Western Carib. I'd love to do it again! GOFERIT!
Stevesan Posted February 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2005 As you can see in our cruise history below, we did a B2B E/W Carib on Zuiderdam. The only cruise I've booked direct w/cruise line. Believe it or not, HAL's quote was less than any online or bricks/mortar TA I priced with. :) Booking direct was a distinct pleasure. The HAL reps were always pleasant, knowledgeable and truly anxious to help. It was especially convenient getting all booking and cruise documents immediately by e-mail attachment. I'd do it again given the same pricing scenario. Alas, every cruise since, TA has always been low enough to book thru agency. It sure was a nice experience, though. We certainly enjoyed the cruise(s). There's enough variety between E/W to keep the interest peaked. BTW - we paid significantly less for an SS than any of the prices quoted above. Of course that was ~1 1/2 years back and prices do seem to have gone up.
Ziggy7 Posted February 25, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2005 We did it last Aug on the Zuiderdam :) It was great! :)
Rare Cruisergal1208 Posted February 25, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2005 Would these sail dates have a lot of kids because of Spring Break? The prices sound great and B2B is a great way to cruise.
kryos Posted February 26, 2005 #7 Share Posted February 26, 2005 We did it last Aug on the Zuiderdam :) It was great! :) Ditto here. You'll love it. But try not to sail during hurricane season if you can. We got a lot of ports and excursions cancelled because of rough seas. Blue skies ... --rita
