Dining room question Equinox

We are sailing in AQ on Equinox in January. We had to get AQ in order to get an accessible cabin. We are traveling with 2 other couples who are not in AQ. My question is, what are the chances that we will be able to eat in the MDR with the other couples some of the nights and Blu other nights?

It would depend on if they chose Select Dining or a traditional seating.

 

If they have an assigned table in the MDR, you couldn't just join their table on some nights - there would be no room for you. If they have Select Dining, you can all go to the Select Dining area of the MDR on those nights and get a table for 6.

You will be able to eat with them if you go to the Select dining area. They will not be able to eat with you and they are very strict about it.

Go to this thread and read post from KitKat who, apparently, WAS just able to dine at times with friends in the MDR who had a table. You may have additional questions for him/her

AND, we had friends from the MDR who were not permitted to join us in Select, so apparently it isn't automatic.

....social aspect aside....If it's anything like our recent experience - once you've tried the main dining room, you'll be itching to get back to Blu
