Casino Question

We just got off the Sky and used two of them. Put one each on our player cards and worked fine. Since I don't play slots, I just gave my player card to the wife so she could use all of them.

Presented the coupons to Glen (the CM) and he said they'd be available to use the second day and he was right..

BTW... she lost it all (as usual).. LOL

The one thing that I don't understand is the part about having to spend so much of it. Does it mean you have to at least spend $25? What if you sit there for a long time and the money keeps going up and down and in the end you have $50 and you want to cash out? Or what if you get a big hit right away and want to cash out, can you not do this? This is the part that makes me nervous, I don't want to go knowing I can't take it out when I want.

They sound appealing but I don't want to "have" to spend it all as this wouldn't be of any benefit.

If you sat for a long time, you would probably be okay. If the coupon is $25, you have to place at least $25 worth of bets. Wins or losses do not matter. If it is a $50 coupon, and you bet $2 a spin, you MUST make 25 bets. Again, wins or losses do not mean anything.

If you sit down with a $50 coupon, and make a single bet for $5, and win $200, you can cash out the $200 if you want. But, you still have $45 left to bet.

I just discovered this coupon site and I am thinking about buying one for me and my husband for our upcoming cruise.

There seems to be a discrepancy about how much has to be played. Some are saying $25, while others are saying $50.

Anyone know for sure?

Also, how do you "enter the amount you want to bet" on any particular machine? When you insert your card will something come up on the screen asking you how much total you'd like to spend on this machine?

I bought 2 of the vouchers for our Pearl cruise in April, one for my DH and one for myself. He didn't really want one, but he got the card so I could use it. Once you have your account set up, you go to the machine of your choice and enter in the value you want to "spend".

They worked great - no problems redeeming them. I managed to use up my credit rapidly.

Also on the Pearl, they had a CAS offer if you accumulated a certain number of points, you got complimentary beverages in the casino. Our friend managed to rack up that many points on day 6, at the end of the cruise I barely had 25 points. You can see who's the big spender. ;)

So when you insert your card, does something pop up on the screen to ask you how much you want to play at that machine?

When you say drink are you talking alcoholic drink? We buy the soda passes, so just wondering. :) How many points did it take to get that?

I know last year we used the NCL coupon out of the book they sent us. I think it was something like spend $15 and they gave you an extra $10 on it. This is a much better deal.

We purchased the NCL slot dollars for $10 you get $20 in slot dollars, one for each of us. I am assuming this is pretty much the same as the coupons. We also redeemed 5,000 of our World Points from our credit card for $100 in slot money.

On the Jewel, we went to the casino cashier, the same place where you go to turn your casino chips in for money or to get money from your on board account, which this year they were charging 3%, whereas last year they did not charge anything. They explained that too many people were coming into the casino to take cash out instead of using an ATM machine and was not gambling, so they ruined it for those of us that only used that money for the casino.

At this window, they applied this money to our casino card (not our on-board/room key card). We only had to show them the slips that were in our cabin when we arrived, even though I also brought with me the printed out email receipts after purchasing these credits.

You then would insert this casino card into any slot machine, just as if there was no money involved, and you put in the pin number they give you and then you tell the machine how much money you want to go "into" the machine. The rest remains on your casino card, so if you want to move to another slot machine, you just take your card out and do the same thing again on another machine (after you use up all the money you entered into the machine you are playing).

I entered as little as $1 or as much as $21 at one time, just to see what would happen. Every time I would win, I would hit the "pay" button and the machine would only print out your winnings, not the amount of money that was still left in the machine.

Hope my explanation is not too confusing. Also, they give you a little piece of paper with the instructions of what to do to keep with your casino card which I had to read a few times to figure this out (I guess you can tell I seldom play the slot machines).

If you have any questions, I would be glad to "try" to answer. We just got back this past weekend from a 9 day cruise on the Jewel.

Thanks for all of your information. This sounds just like we did last year with the coupon. We had to put the pin code in to activate it and all. I'm going to give this deal a shot.

Before I purchased the coupons from the Slotplaycoupons.com website I called NCL to make sure they would still accept the coupon on the Star this September. Was thinking of purchasing the $50 in slot play for $25 coupon.

The CSV agent checked with several supervisors, including the Casino Supv, in Miami and was told they knew nothing about these coupons nor the website. Said they would not advise purchasing them and that they would be "looking into" the website.

Hope I didn't stir up a "hornets nest" and ruin it for anyone . I just wanted to make sure I would not be purchasing something that would not be honored. Can't afford that.

Ok....just got off the phone with the Casino Marketing Department in Miami. They think the website is legitimate and coupons will be honored on the Star, but they will have the Department Manager call me back with confirmation. Whew! Who knew?

Mine we honored on the Jade in Many. make sure to present them early in the week, in case there is any confusion in how to apply them. Worked great, I purchased three.

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone ever used slotplaycoupons.com? Just wondering if it is a legitimate website. Thanks in advance. ;)

I used this and it worked on my sailing in March.. It was easy to get and easy to use, however on the ship it was a small issue, there was onlt one person on the staff that could redeem it and I always seemed to be at the casino when she was not there... Eventually we met up and 1-2-3 I had a free $25. its legit!

Just received the callback. The email I received was actually from the Casino Marketing Dept. Mgr. They tell me that the website is legitimate and they will honor the coupons.

Where did you buy the NCL slot dollars?

We just booked another cruise for next year and I was thinking the same thing. "Where did I order those casino things from". I found my Amenity Confirmation and it says Item # 706 Triple Play we paid $10 each for (gave us each $15 in casino chips) and Item # 721 Casino/Free Slot Play we paid $10 each for (gave us each $20 in slot money on our casino card).

I purchased these over the telephone from NCL and paid for them via a credit card about 6 days PRIOR to sailing (not that you should wait that long). I "think" I called NCL's Casino at Sea for this, but I could be mistaken. I also think you may be able to order it directly through your PCC. I will send my PCC an email and ask her if she can take an order for this.

This had NOTHING to do with our NCL World Points credit card, which we did use "world points" to purchase additional slot money and OBC.

I think I originally found these items on NCL's website.

I just went there and if you click on "Get Ready for your cruise" and then click on "Bon Voyage Gifts", the number it says to call (which is what I may have called) is 1-800-327-7030. They knew exactly what I wanted, took care of everything over the telephone and emailed me a confirmation, which I printed out and brought with me, but did not need. They had everything ready for us in our cabin when we arrived.

We also purchased a bar set-up and one of the Romance Packages -- the only thing I am certain about is the bar set-up MUST be purchased via email through groupeventjewel@ncl.com (substitute "jewel" for whichever NCL ship's name you will be sailing on). If you ask the "group event" person what you are looking for, I am sure they will direct you to where you need to go, because we also inquired about the Romance Package and pre-purchasing bottles of wine, which she did not handle, but directed us to how to go about making the purchase.

If I come up with any additional information from my PCC, I will be sure to post it here.

Enjoy your cruise.

:)

Hi

I have a couple of questions about these coupons.

There is a space on the page for a promo code. Does anyone know what it is or where to get it?

I don't have a printer at home and gambling sites are banned at work. Do you have to print the coupon as soon as it is purchased or can you go back and print it later?

Thanks

Where did you buy the NCL slot dollars?

Heard back from my PCC and was told that any PCC should be able to handle ordering these items.

As I recall, I pre-purchased from NCL 2 of Item #721 $20 in Slot Money per person, costing $10 each and 2 of Item #706 three $5 Casino Chips per person which cost $10 each. So for a $40 charge on my credit card, we received $20 in slot money for both me and my husband and we each received $15 (3 $5) table chips which all together totaled $70 of gambling money. If we were to purchase these items at the casino it would have cost us $70. If this sounds confusing, let me know and I will try to make it a little more clear.

Did you book through a TA or directly through NCL? If you booked directly through NCL, either call your PCC or call NCL and tell whoever answers the phone that you want to purchase item #721. I do not know how this works with a TA, but I am sure it is almost the same.

You can only purchase one of each item per person. We will be purchasing them again for our next cruise.

Hope this helps.

:) :)

Thank you, Fecket, I booked thru CAS, but I will try to call NCL first and see if I can get those two casino deals, and if not, then I will call CAS. My friend has the free balcony cabin and we booked with her so we got 10% off our cabin. I appreciate you looking into this for me.

I know last year the $20 for $10 casino deal was in the coupon book you could get online or that they sent to you in the mail with your luggage tags and welcome packet. So we did that last year. Then what I was told is they did away with it in the coupons, so this place replaced it instead.

Buying them online doesn't matter if you are booked with a TA or NCL. The ones online are definitely a better deal. :)

Hey Fecket, I purchased both the 706 and 721 for both my husband and myself. Thank you for that. We also did the $25 for $50 in slots online for both of us too. So that is like getting our first nite in the casino for free !!

Does anyone know where you can find the #721 code online on NCL's site?

When you go to the Bon Voyage Gifts section on NCL, you can find the #706 code to purchase, but not the #721 one.

Is there any place to find these? (other than calling?)

I noticed that too before I posted the first time, so I pulled up my amenity email to get the code number. If the previous posted just recently purchased these items, then maybe it was accidentally omitted from the website or for the purpose of saving space.

If you click on the link for the wine list, it is a partial list, and it tells you to call to receive the full list, whereas in the recent past the entire wine list was posted.

The description did not tell you very much. I paid $20 for the two of us ($10 each) and we received a card in our cabin one addressed to each of us. We took these cards to the casino window (along with the slot cards) and they either gave us a voucher to give to the dealer to get 3 $5 casino chips or they just gave us 3 $5 casino chips each (sorry that I cannot remember) I will ask my husband later to see if he remembers. Those chips are used at any of the gaming tables the same as any other $5 chip.

When all is said and done, you are paying $10 to receive $20 in slot dollars and/or you are paying $10 to receive $15 in casino chips. Either way you are getting more "usable" money than you paid. We will be doing that again for next year's cruise.

We may even do the $50 slot money for $25 online if more and more people say that there is no problem.

Did this answer help somewhat?

I just went to NCL's site to see what you were talking about (the list). I do see the pdf wine list file. However, the casino part doesn't have this as an additional list. :( I tried clicking on things to see if there was more and can't find anything that is click-able.

I'm wondering if I just call and tell them the number I want, they can do it that way by me giving them the #721 code. Hopefully this will work.

I did buy the slotcoupons to save $25. That was a great deal. But if I can save another $10, that would be even better. It's all about the savings. :D

Thanks for your help.
