Holly2 Posted December 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2010 Just got off Century -- we had a C2 stateroom with "lounge seating" which I mistakenly took to mean a chaise lounge on the balcony. Not the case -- just 2 chairs and a table. Will be sailing Equinox in the same category with a large balcony -- can we count on the chair and ottoman? Ocean Dancer Posted December 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2010 holly, i also would expect a lounger on the balcony and would have requested one. maybe the previous pax wanted the chairs for more space and the lounger was never replaced. The verandahs associated with Suites, AquaClass staterooms, and Concierge Class staterooms [ie; C-2] on Solstice-Class ships are equipped with two reclining chairs and accompanying ottomans [as well as a table]... Staterooms in other cabin categories on Solstice-Class ships are equipped with the same reclining chairs and table but not the ottomans... The Concierge Class cabins [C-1 and C-2] I've occupied on Century had verandahs that were significantly smaller--I'm not sure they would have accommodated a lounger and anything else--than the verandahs on the Solstice-Class ships... Holly2 Posted December 28, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted December 28, 2010 I agree that the balcony was too small for a chaise; I was surprised at the balcony size since I was picturing a lounge chair. Thought that the description was misleading unless it meant something else. I would definitely have requested one if there were room. Glad to hear that this shouldn't be a problem on Equinox. One amenity I really enjoy.
